Why don't you make a network so you can use your broadband connection on the laptop (the other user can use it too, and at the same time)? Easy to do and not expensive. Your laptop will need a wireless card if it doesn't have one, and you'll need a router.


I have all of those things, but technology has a bad habit of not working for me. So, I'm still using dial-up with my laptop at home.
