I will at least link to this favorable cover story in the Austin Chronicle about Kinky Friedman. Just to show I'm not all about beating up on people.
I do have to say, having seen the show on CMT this weekend, I found you could watch one episode and get the gist of ever other episode. He sits in a parade, he drinks some beer, shouts "The governor wants a drink," smokes a cigar, tells people "If you don't like Jesus, you can go to hell." End of episode. I watched four episodes and every single episode was the same thing. The only thing that can help you tell them apart is which country music star he is chatting with this episode. My favorite was Dwight Yoakum (I had a country music phase when I was a kid).
You see, I went mean again. For no reason. Politics is brutal.
fascinating that you were able to watch four episodes when there are only two episodes ever to have been produced.

Maybe that's why I couldn't tell them apart! Cut me some slack, I was high on cold medicine and cough syrup all weekend, sure that I was dying of bird flu.
