I decided to check out the Texas Monthly Web site today and I found my column, or rather Evan Smith's Behind the Lines column about me. I can't believe I got beat out for the cover by Lance Armstrong... and the food reviews... and everything else.
Anyway, here is the link from the Web site. What's that? You don't have registration and you don't want to pay. Well, tell ya what I'm gonna do. Since you're all such nice people, here is the registraion free media link to Nate's Texas Monthly column that I was given. That's right, no charge.
I think I'm probably the only one who will post that so consider yourselves very fortunate.
BTW, "The Ben Franklin of McGregor" was not my idea. Although I'm a huge fan of his work, writing and life, I would never compare myself to him. It's actually a little embarrassing, so let's never speak of it again.
Nate, that's a great piece. You should enjoy every damn word of it. A lot of folks work a long time before they get that kind of treatment in a college paper, much less Texas Monthly.

"That and $.50 gets you a cup of coffee. Even that's not true anymore."
See how low I've gone. I'm quoting Liev Schreiber from Scream 2.
