What about the other guys?

Greg talks about rumors of a Gordon Quan run in TX-22. We talked about that in the conference call tonight and the consensus seems to be that anybody but Morrison would get their ass kicked in the general and don't really have a hope to beat Richard in the primary, so we should unite together and get all the money we can to help Richard run against Tom DeLay and not fellow Democrats.

I'm usually against having primary challengers with Democrats anyway, we're divided enough and we have no statewide offices in this state. I believe we should recruit one good person to run and put full support behind him, but in 22 it is an especially poignant point. It is going to take a lot of money to unseat Tom DeLay. He has gotten so crooked and entrenched in Texas politics that it will be a Herculean effort to remove him.

But it can be done and together we can do it. But we do need to stop talking about primary challengers and get with the program.

Hmmmm...encouraging people NOT to run? I understand your thoughts on this, but for crying out loud, everyone has the right to run for public office even if it does effect whichever party.
