I don't know what took us so long, but we Democrats are finally going to have our own communications hub dedicated soley to getting out our message.
I'm not sure what that message is, exactly, since so many in the DLC seem willing to move some issues out of the way to win, but we can communicate damnit!
In all seriousness, though, this is long overdue. Why we didn't spend the time trying to get our message out during, oh say, the presidential campaign, I'll never know. But kudos to Sen. Harry Reid for getting this in gear.
The best part about it:
A 15-member message team will include press aides who will publicize Democratic activities to Internet news organizations and bloggers, Reid said. Tessa Hafen, Reid's press secretary, will focus on Nevada media and regional news outlets.I can't think of anyone better suited to do rapid response than bloggers, so they are getting on board with the 21st Century, thank God.
Whether they listen to me or not, rest assured I'll be sending in emails everyday and blogging about what the latest from them is. Hopefully, I'll get the chance to help them out, as well.
